History of Southern Pines Lodge # 484 |
The lodge was originally charted on January 13, 1897 as Aberdeen Lodge #484 with its first Master, WBro. William W. Maurer. On January 14, 1907 the lodge was renamed to it's current name of Southern Pines Lodge #484. In 1949, WBro Lloyd L. Woolley was appointed and served as DDGM from 1949-1951. In 1970, WBro. Joe C. Thomas was appointed and served as DDGM from 1970-1972. In 2001, Southern Pines Lodge started giving scholarship to deserving, local High School students. 2003 was the final year WBro. Louis G. Creveling was Lodge Secretary ending 17 faithful and continuous years of service in that position. In 2004, with the Master, WBro. Lee Huber Southern Pines Lodge celebrated its 100th Bithday. In 2006 WBro. Louis G. Creveling voted and received the title of "Past Secretary" and is now titled "Secretary of Distinction". |
